Did you know that in 2012, Canem invested over 85,000 work hours in training? From apprenticeship to management training, Canem is committed to ensuring that every employee is equipped with the knowledge, tools and skills to do their job effectively.
These are the various ways in which Canem trains its people:
Our field personnel are continuously trained in our Apprenticeship and Safety programs.
Our superintendents and foreman are constantly sharing their experience with our apprentices and journeymen. In fact, most of our field managers today, have started their apprenticeships with Canem.
Canem holds a number of peer group meetings annually. These meetings help facilitate the sharing of experience and information among the various career groups in the company.
These are informal meetings which are held at the job or office site during the day. A variety of topics are introduced, including installation techniques, tools & safety practices.
Canem has incorporated the practice of setting up internal peer review teams to review planning and execution of branch projects. The purpose of the exercise is to provide insight and share knowledge for maximizing profitability and efficiency in project management.
Whether taking an introductory lesson in using Microsoft Excel or learning about the latest upgrades in our Estimating programs, Canem's employees are on the cutting edge in using the latest computer applications.
