CRD Headquarters This Capital Regional District Headquarters was the second phase of a two-phase
project that involved the construction of six levels of office space, an
underground parkade and ground level space available for future retail outlets.
The 55,000 sq.ft.building is in the heart of Victoria’s Chinatown, across the
street from Centennial Square and City Hall.
Canem was responsible for all electrical engineering and Programmable Logic Controller programming for Permolex, where upgrades and additions to the existing processes were done in order to increase Ethanol production 40% to 40 million litres per year.
All rooms have full high-speed Internet service, and all Fire Alarm and Security alerts are tied into the main Campus Security system at Mount Royal Student Residences.
Building systems include a unit sub-station, emergency power generator, fire alarm system to care facility standards, a sound system and a nurse call system at the Mount St. Mary long-term care facility.
A fire alarm system, data/tel, CATV, CCTV, sound, security, MUFID/bids, IED paging, new emergency power systems and a baggage handling and screening system were implemented at the Victoria International Airport while maintaining the ongoing services and operation of the Terminal Building and aircraft traffic. All existing systems, including the high level security system, continued to function fully throughout the construction process.
Canem’s electrical installation at the Aberdeen Residence in Richmond, B.C. included the integration of a modified two-stage fire alarm system with the existing mall fire alarm system so that the two systems would work in unison with each other
