Project Description:
The TFDL is part of a three-phase, $144 million project to be built by CANA Construction Ltd. In addition to the TFDL, the project involves construction of a new High-Density Library (HDL) building to house additional library collections, and the landscaping redevelopment of the Taylor Family Quadrangle (QUAD), an adjacent 285,000 square foot gathering place.
Designed for the 21st century scholar, the combined facility will include: new and expanded learning commons; an art museum; an Internet cafe; collaborative workrooms; presentation practice rooms; video conferencing; audio-visual viewing rooms; editing and recording suites; multimedia labs; and computer-equipped classrooms.
