Permolex The Permolex facility produces bakery flour, vital wheat gluten, fuel grade ethanol and livestock feed. It also has the potential to produce higher protein vital wheat gluten as well as other grades of Ethanol.
OEM OEM Remanufacturing plant is a state of the art rebuild facility for the remanufacturing of core components for Caterpillar. The idea of bringing together several component plants into one common facility was both innovative and inventive. This purpose of the plant was to increase both productivity and quality control of the core remanufacturing process. Canem supplied both electrical and data construction and the design services for the building of the facility. Since it’s opening in June 2005, Canem has provided all electrical and data maintenance for the client.
Olymel The Olymel hog processing plant is the largest of its kind in Canada and is Red Deer city’s biggest employer. The plant is open 365 days per year and has a capacity to process 18,000 hogs per day. The project comprised the addition of a freezer and a cooler to the building. Walking Beams (automated line into cooler) were installed. Four 4160v compressors were installed and two 600v compressors were changed to 4160v.
