Andy Carr,  Branch Manager (403) 259-2221 Andy is the Construction Manager for our Calgary division. His responsibilities include the overall supervision of construction projects and field programs, including all preplans, contract management and personnel. Employed with Canem since 1989, Andy started as an Apprentice and progressed into the roles of Foreman, Superintendent and Project Management. Andy received his Master Electrician certificate in 2007 and Gold Seal Superintendent certification in 2008. Some of his accomplished projects include: Health Research Innovation Centre, TRW, Mount Royal College Student Residence, TELUS CIDC, Hyatt Regency Hotel, Sheraton Suites Hotel, Symcor in scope Data Center, SPM plastics, Livingston/Rubbermaid warehouses, Standard Life Tower, Home Depots, and Zellers stores. Andy's personal interests include camping, sports, and working on his acreage.

Kenneth Thiessen, Service Manager (403) 259-2221 Ken joined Canem in 1989 and oversees the strategic direction of the communication and service business in the Calgary division. Ken started as an apprentice electrician in 1969 and worked his way to Master Electrician designation in 1977. He received his Bachelor of Commerce in 1986 and is a current member of the Building Owner and Manager’s Association (BOMA) and Alberta Provincial Advisory Committee. His extracurricular activities include hockey, skiing, squash, mountain biking and a passion for the outdoors. Ken regularly organizes and leads summit and ridge walks into the Calgary mountain peaks. Some of Ken’s personal accomplishments included participating in 2 mission trips to Venezuela and Haiti, while providing assistance to less fortunate people.
