Completion date: 10 year phased project Project contact: Knud Mortensen General contractor: Farmer Constructors Electrical budget: $6 MILLION (Phase 1 & 2) Construction budget: $300 million (All phases) Project Description: With a planned total of 1.3 million square feet of mixed residential, office, retail and industrial space, Dockside Green represents the biggest land development in the City of Victoria’s history.  The development is situated in the heart of the City of Victoria on fifteen acres of former industrial land adjacent to the Upper Harbour and downtown.  The developers are seeking the platinum, the highest level, of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification for the entire development. When completed, the development will include 860 housing units (some for low income and seniors), a small hotel, a commercial village around an open-air amphitheatre and 75,000 square feet of office space.  Sewage treatment and electrical generation from waste wood will take place on the site.  State of the art lighting with motion control systems will be used through-out the project. Canem is currently working on Phase 1 & 2 of the project.
