Project Description: Mount St. Mary is a new five storey long-term care facility housing 200 bed care units. The facility was designed to create a home-like atmosphere for up to 200 complex care residents, who live in small ‘Houses’ of 12-13 people. Each house has its own front entry, dining room, kitchenette, personal laundry room, living room and sunroom.
Community life centers around the Village Square on the main floor which includes a chapel, a café, office, hair salon, community spa, gift shop, library and easy-to-access gardens.
Building systems include a unit sub-station, emergency power generator, fire alarm system to care facility standards, a sound system and a nurse call system.
